Senior Expert, Business Intelligence (40000049)
Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for analyzing, designing and implementing data solutions using the enterprise suite of Business Intelligence tools. The job holder will also analyse business processes and systems, visualize data to generate insights to inform and identify triggers in the business decision process to improve customer value and operational efficiency. The job holder will help business to understand the implications of what information means, identify what has happened, why it happened and support improved performance management.
Key Accountabilities (1)
Strategic Planning Support
- Organize and work with stakeholders to develop and execute the strategic plan for Business Intelligence activities.
Analysis and Reporting
- Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using script languages.
- Analyse datasets to develop metrics, reports and visualizations mostly for performance management.
- Use data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance to provide meaning to data outputs.
- Create and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad-hoc review and analysis of data.
- Understand data requirements from within and outside the Division and analyze needs of the business while assisting senior members within the Division to develop technical requirements.
- Communicate and align with stakeholders on purpose and impact of analytical solutions on business.
Key Accountabilities (2)
Data Insighting
- Lead the identification and interpretation of meaningful and actionable insights from various data sources.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Interact with squads within assigned teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Project Management
- Manage project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at high performance.
- Work with team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks, conduct post mortem and root cause analyses to improve practices for maximum productivity.

Capability Development
- Coach team members on tools, technologies and methodologies for BI and analytics and support capability development of team as Business Intelligence analysts/experts.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team and support with personal development plan.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Risk Management, Statistics, Mathematics or Quantitative Analysis
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in areas of data analysis, reporting and planning, problem solving for business
- Experience in querying databases and using programming languages (R, Python, Scala, SQL)
- Experience in building reporting with actionable intelligence
- Experience in communicating complex analysis and models across a diverse team
- Experience in data management, ETL and analysis functions
- Experience with data analysis and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Spark
- Deep understanding on Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data
- Experience in leading activities, projects, teams
- Experience in Agile Software Development or working in Agile teams to support transformation
