Job Purpose
The Senior Banker is the most senior individual contributor within the Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG). This role is pivotal in driving business growth and maintaining strategic client relationships. The incumbent will manage the most complex deals, cover the largest clients across one or more sectors, and act as the primary “Rain Maker” within assigned sector(s) and region
Key Accountabilities (1)
- Promote TCB's Corporate Banking products and solutions across assigned sectors and regions;
- Drive annual portfolio growth by increasing the number of customers and expanding revenue, including scaling up customer's wallet share;
- Engage directly in business development with clients that have complex corporate structures, sophisticated financial models, and high-value strategic transactions within the assigned sectors/ business segments;
- Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with key prospective clients to attract new business opportunities in the assigned sectors/ business segments
- Engage all internal partners and lead deal flow from start to finish
- Responsible for the management of customer porfolio
- Prudent risk management of assigned credit portfolio including renewals of credit and annual reviews.
Key Accountabilities (2)
- Establish ACP and actions to achieve ACP
- Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor within assigned sectors.
- Represent CIBG within assigned market by attending industry specific events for business development purpose.
- Lead the structuring and negotiation of the most complex deals within CIBG.
- Ensure flawless execution and delivery of client solutions in collaboration with product partners and internal stakeholders
- Originate and execute high-value transactions, including complex financing structures, advisory mandates, and capital market deals
- Maintain the highest standards of risk management and regulatory compliance across all activities.
Key Accountabilities (3)
- Ensure strong control over the debt quality across the entire managed client portfolio.
- Update the Account Coverage Plan (ACP) in case of changes in the client’s business plan that impact the annual exploitation strategy.
Service Operations:
- Strictly comply with all relevant regulations, processes, and guidelines.
- Proactively identify and manage operational risks related to the managed client portfolio.
Post-Sales Management:
- Manage post-credit/post-sales activities for the portfolio in accordance with periodic regulations.
- Propose, coordinate, and implement measures to handle overdue debts for managed clients.
- Prevent business risks in line with the Bank’s regulations from time to time.
- Provide training/coaching session for Frontline as per requirements of CIBG on new capability, new sectors/industries, etc.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
- Minimum 18+ years of experience in corporate and investment banking or related fields.
- Proven track record of originating and executing large, complex transactions.
- Strong network and relationships with senior executives in relevant sectors.
- Deep understanding of financial products, capital markets, and industry trends.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- English proficiency: Minimum TOEIC 700 (or other equivalent certifications) as per Techcombank’s regulations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Banking, International Trade, Economics, or Business Administration.
