Job Purpose
Enable Delivery Agility through highly mature Scrum adoption at teams, initiative, and/or wider organization
Key Accountabilities (1)
Enabling Agility
- Coach teams in self-management and cross-functionality.
- Help teams to focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done (DoD).
- Train and coach Product Owners on techniques for effective Product Goal definition, Product Backlog management, and release planning that maximize business value.
- Train and coach teams, initiatives, and stakeholders to apply an empirical approach, incremental and iterative development, lean thinking, and Scrum values.
- Plan, train, coach, implement, and improve Scrum adoption for initiatives and/or the wider organization.
- Ensure Scrum events take place and are positive and productive within the timebox.
Enabling Performance
- Adopt appropriate stances for teams: Trainer, Mentor, Coach, Leader, Facilitator, Manager, and Change Agent.
- Help teams to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and practices via Scrum, e.g., maturity assessment, improvement plans, and training and coaching activities.
- Cause the removal of impediments to teams’ progress.
- Train and coach managers on empowering people, enabling and nurturing self-managing and high-performing teams.
- Train and coach teams to use Agile tools, e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Trello.
Enabling Outcomes
- Train and coach teams, initiatives, and/or the wider organization to apply evidence-based management (EBM).
Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Banking, Finance, Technology, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Professional Scrum certifications, e.g., A-CSM or PSM II. Other certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile Project Management are a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate environments, preferably in banking or fintech organizations.
- Experience in training and coaching Scrum teams.
- Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring different roles, e.g., Product Owner, Designer, Developer, Tester, and Manager.
- Team player; a servant leader with strong facilitation, conflict resolution, communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills.Familiar with engineering best practices (e.g., TDD, ATDD, CI/CD, automation).
- Familiar with common tools, e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
