Director, IT Project Management

Job Purpose

The Job Holder: Responsible for the management and development of human resources in the Division. Directly support the IT BOM in administration and operation activities.

Key Accountabilities (1)

1. Project management and implementation
- Manage assigned IT projects.
- Planning and implementing IT projects as assigned by the Head of Porfolio Capability Management
- Plan and allocate necessary resources for the project.
- Regularly assess project status to promptly report toHead of Porfolio Capability Management, Sponsor and other stakeholders.
- Manage the daily work of the project. Responsible for evaluating and ensuring the overall quality of the project before handing over to the customer.
- Ensure stakeholder participation and cooperation among stakeholders in the project.
- Proactively assess project risks and problems, establish mitigation/resolution plans and promptly communicate and report to stakeholders.
- Update project budget/schedule/scope/resource records.
- Prepare professional documents for the bank's IT investment projects (if required).
- Evaluation and selection of IT solutions (if required).
- Manage projects independently in the respective IT domain/function and communicate and coordinate with other PMs if there are dependencies with projects in other IT domains/functions.
- Simultaneous execution of multiple projects from the same and/or different banking sectors.
- Manage PM team to successfully execute assigned IT projects
2. Process improvement and innovation:
- Responsible for researching new technology/latest industry trends, acquired banking sector knowledge; Exchange, share and train members to improve professionalism and work efficiency.
- Lead and contribute to the improvement of project management processes.

3. Risk management and compliance:
- Identify risks and coordinate with relevant units to propose methods to measure and minimize risks in operations.
- Ensure that the teams in the department fulfill their commitments on service quality, comply with regulations and policies of the Bank.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Oversee human resources planning and execution (headcount & costs) of their function/ sub- function
- Attract, onboard and retain the right talents for a high- performing team
- Establish and communicate sub- function/ function and individual KRAs/ KPIs, goals, action plan, expectations and results to reporting line
- Manage sub- function/ function performance & provide feedback regularly (following the annual performance management cycle)
- Define team’s capability requirements and enable team member’s professional and personal development through capability assessment, training, coaching & feedback, mentoring, etc.
- Motivate and recognize team members’ contributions towards the team’s shared goals
- Responsible for developing talents within the function/ sub- function
- Act as a role model and promote corporate culture at function/ sub- function level
- Understand & communicate relevant HR offerings to team members.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences

Qualification:
'Having a bachelor's degree post-graduate degree in Technology or related discipline (MBA preferred)
- Possess Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP / Prince 2)
'- PgMP certified (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 12 years experience in project management
- Knowledge of IT systems
Banking system knowledge and/or experience (Critical systems like Core banking, e-banking, treasury, data warehouse, payments, etc.)
- Mastering advanced IT management methods and practices such as ITIL, COBIT
Foreign language level: English, or according to TCB's regulations from time to time
