Job Purpose
The Job Holder:
- Own complex quality engineering assignments and deliver reliable test outcomes under tight timelines. Combine testing expertise with business analysis to improve requirement quality, test coverage, and release readiness across manual and automated testing.
Key Accountabilities (1)
1. Quality Engineering Delivery
- Own test design, preparation, execution, defect management, and reporting for complex changes.
- Define functional, integration, regression, data, and performance test coverage.
- Prepare environments, data, tools, mocks, stubs, and release candidates for testing
- Execute and coordinate manual and automated tests, including smoke and sanity checks.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for suitable test scenarios.
- Analyze defects, drive resolution with delivery teams, and report quality risks and results.
- Produce complete test designs, cases, scripts, defect logs, and test reports.
Key Accountabilities (2)
2. Requirements Analysis & Business Collaboration
- Analyze current and future processes and document clear process flows.
- Contribute to functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Document relevant screens, flows, API inputs and outputs, and logical data mappings.
- Identify impacted systems and maintain traceability from requirements to tests.
- Prepare test scenarios for UAT/PAT, support business users, and track defects.
- Contribute to change requests, authorization matrices, go-live packs, and user guides.

3. Quality Leadership and Compliance
- Plan and coordinate test activities across stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Review test assets and coach team members on effective testing practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve coverage, automation, speed, and quality.
- Follow quality, security, risk, and compliance requirements; escalate issues promptly.
- Actively perform both manual and automated testing, with strong capability in at least one area and continued development in the other.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, with practical experience in one or more areas such as manual, automation, API, web, mobile, data, or performance testing
- Proficient in least one language: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent.
- Proficient in SQL and test-data validation skills with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or another RDBMS, or one of the NoSQL DB.
- Experience with testing and relevant tools, such as:
- API: Postman, Insomnia, or SoapUI;
- UI automation: Selenium or Katalon;
- Performance: JMeter, k6, or Gatling;
- Frameworks: Karate + Playwright;
- Good knowledge of Git and CI/CD test execution.
