Senior Officer, General Accounting (Techcom Life)
Job Purpose
The Senior Officer – General Accounting is responsible for managing tax compliance, tax reporting, and general accounting activities of the Company, ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations and internal policies, with a strong focus on tax matters related to life insurance companies or professional tax advisory services.
Tax Compliance & Tax Management (1)
- Prepare, review and submit statutory tax filings including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Personal Income Tax (PIT), Withholding Tax (WHT) and other applicable taxes.
- Handle annual tax finalization for Corporate Income Tax .
- Ensure proper tax treatment for insurance-related transactions, commissions, agency income, and service fees.
- Act as the main liaison with tax authorities; manage tax audits, inspections, explanations and dispute resolution.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
General Accounting (2)
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and other adjusting entries.
- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations on a periodic basis, identify reconciling items, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Review and monitor key accounts including cash and bank, receivables, payables, fixed assets, accrued expenses, provisions, and tax-related accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements and management reports.
Internal Control & Advisory (3)
- Identify, assess and manage tax risks.
- Provide tax and accounting advisory support to business units.
- Support internal and external audits related to tax and accounting matters.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of solid tax experience, preferably in life insurance companies or professional tax consulting firms.
- Strong hands-on experience in tax compliance, tax finalization and tax audits.
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Good command of English is an advantage.
