Senior Manager, Business Analysis (40000037)
Job Purpose
The job holder oversees a team of business analysts who are responsible for conducting research and analysis in order to create detailed business analyses and solution recommendations on as-is and to-be business process workflows. The job holder will engage with stakeholders in preparing standard and adhoc reports for ongoing business needs. The job holder will provide ongoing technical expertise and consultation to subject matter experts ensuring data integrity and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
Key Accountabilities (1)
Research and Analysis
- Establish best practices in business analysis, requirements gathering, requirements handover, feature prioritization and onboarding/training processes.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources for improvement recommendations.
- Use data modelling, budgeting and forecasting techniques to present analyses for sound business decisions.
- Recommend solutions (services, processes or products that solve a particular problem) with detailed pros and cons recommendation.
- Lead the business analysis process with minimal guidance.
Key Accountabilities (2)
Reporting and Documentation
- Work closely with project teams / business tribes to understand business objectives and processes.
- Evaluate suggested modifications and improvements for improved operating efficiencies.
- Explain technical jargon to non-technical/commercial teams, simplify requirements so they are easily understood.
- Aggregate, assimilate and analyze information and data from diverse sources towards decision recommendations.
- Handover business requirements to the technical team ensuring adequate business context, detailed feature description and relative prioritization for technical requirements definition and development.
Stakeholder and Team Management
- Prepare well-organised weekly/monthly/adhoc reports for management and customers as required.
- Communicate well-organised insights and perspectives to stakeholders on market data gathered and analysed.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
- Facilitate project meetings and presentations to report on status, issues and risks to the team and stakeholders.
- Leverage Agile project management tools to share resources and documentation on assigned projects.
- Coach team members for improved stakeholder engagement, business analyses and problem solutioning.
- Immerse in new business areas to gain domain expertise, as required.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance and Banking, Economics, Computing, Information Technology, Business Management or related disciplines
- Certification from the Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role in a financial institution with at least 4 years of managerial experience
- Business English standard of proficiency is required
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Proven analytical and modelling capability with gap analysis, SWOT analysis
- Experience working across multiple project scopes, applying Agile/Scrum practices
- Experience writing SQL queries and using data visualization techniques and tools
- Experience making business presentations to multiple stakeholder groups
