Senior Expert, Financial Markets Trading (40000415)
Job Purpose
Responsible for developing and implementing business activities for financial market products in alignment with the unit’s and the bank’s business and strategic directions, including: market analysis and assessment, identifying business opportunities, building business plans, executing financial market product transactions in the interbank market, managing trading portfolios, and managing product risks.
Key Accountabilities (1)
MARKET ANALYSIS AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY IDENTIFICATION
- Market analysis: Monitor fluctuations in exchange rates, interest rates, and central bank monetary policies, as well as macroeconomic data, to forecast price movements of financial market products.
- Develop strategies and execution plans for business strategies and financial market product development strategies.
- Build implementation plans and manage financial and non-financial plans for the proprietary trading segment of the financial market.
- Advise the Head of Financial Market Product Sales on strategies related to financial market products for clients and across the bank.
- Advise the Head of FX Sales on proposing professional market development solutions and financial market product development initiatives.
Key Accountabilities (2)
BUSINESS EXECUTION AND PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
- Organize and execute trading activities for financial market products in the interbank market.
- Take responsibility for position management: portfolio status and product cash flows in accordance with limits and business plans.
- Develop and manage business operations, ensuring compliance with risk management principles and limits.
- Establish principles for evaluating and monitoring portfolio performance.
- Develop trading tools, product pricing principles, and portfolio management guidelines.
- Identify early warning signs of risk and take timely, specific actions.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to manage portfolios and oversee bank-wide liquidity management.
Key Accountabilities (3)
PRODUCT AND SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT FOR CLIENTS
- Design product structures/solutions for clients based on market forecasts and product regulatory frameworks.
- Provide price quotations and manage client-related risk positions.
- Conduct product consulting and training activities for the sales force related to financial market products.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Develop relationships with partners and build a network of trading partners related to market operations.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with regulatory authorities and market associations.
- Build the bank’s image and establish its position in the market.
Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
'- Education: Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in Economics, Finance, or Banking.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of working experience and at least 1 year in a managerial role within the financial and banking industry.
- English: As required by Techcombank from time to time.
- Skills:
+ In-depth knowledge of financial market products, strong understanding of macroeconomics and banking finance.
+ Expertise in managing market risk and liquidity risk for financial market products.
+ Proficient in Excel, Refinitiv, and Bloomberg (BBG).
+ Basic programming skills (Python) or experience in building quantitative forecasting models and applying AI in banking and finance is an advantage.
