Officer, Solution Development (40001855)

Job Purpose

'The job holder is responsible for identifying business opportunities, understanding customer and operational needs, and translating those insights into business solutions that deliver value to customers and the organization.

The role primarily focuses on business analysis, solution discovery, business process improvement, and requirement definition. The incumbent will work closely with business stakeholders to develop customer-centric solutions while progressively building Product Ownership capabilities through involvement in solution planning, prioritization, and product enhancement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities (1)

1. Business Analysis & Solution Discovery
Gather, analyze, and interpret business, customer, and market information to identify opportunities for business improvement and growth.
Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements.
Conduct business analysis, gap assessment, root cause analysis, and process reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
Assess business impacts, benefits, risks, and implementation considerations of proposed solutions.
Recommend practical and value-driven solutions to address business needs and customer pain points.
Support development of business cases and solution proposals for decision-making.

Key Accountabilities (2)

2. Requirements Definition & Journey Development
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
Develop business requirement documents, process flows, user journeys, and business rules.
Analyze current-state and future-state processes to support transformation initiatives.
Ensure requirements accurately reflect business needs and desired customer outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business strategies and customer experience objectives.

3. Solution Development Support
Support the design and implementation of business solutions and customer journeys.
Work closely with product, project, operations, and technology teams to ensure business requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
Participate in solution reviews and provide clarification on business requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
Support user acceptance testing and business validation activities.
Monitor solution effectiveness and identify opportunities for enhancement and optimization.

4. Product Development Exposure
Support Product Owners in identifying and evaluating enhancement opportunities.
Participate in product discovery and solution ideation activities.
Contribute business insights and customer perspectives during prioritization discussions.
Assist with backlog refinement and user story preparation where applicable.
Develop understanding of product management, customer value creation, and solution ownership practices.

5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare reports, presentations, analysis papers, and business recommendations.
Maintain business requirements and solution documentation.
Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders effectively.
Translate complex business issues into clear and actionable information.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences

'Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Banking & Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Product Management, or Customer Experience are advantageous.

Experience
2–3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Transformation, Product Development, Customer Journey Design, Process Improvement, or related fields.
Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
Experience working across multiple stakeholders and business functions.
Exposure to Agile ways of working is preferred.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, Insurance, or Digital Services industries is an advantage.
