Head of Talent Management & Development
Job Purpose
The expectation for this role is not simply a Head of TMD operator. In the context of AI transformation and the scale of workforce transition ahead, we need someone who can help shape the future capability architecture of the Bank.
Key responsibilities
• Develop a clear vision for Talent Management & Development in an AI-first banking environment, aligning workforce capabilities with long-term business strategy.
• Define enterprise talent and capability priorities, identifying critical roles, future skills, leadership requirements, and workforce implications arising from digital, data, and AI transformation.
• Partner with business leaders to understand how roles, job families, and organizational capabilities will evolve, and translate these insights into workforce capability strategies.
• Design and implement capability-based talent management approaches, moving beyond traditional job-based and program-centric models.
• Build robust succession planning, leadership pipeline, and high-potential talent frameworks to ensure long-term organizational sustainability and leadership readiness.
• Establish talent intelligence capabilities leveraging workforce, skills, learning, performance, and organizational data to support evidence-based talent decisions.
• Design scalable reskilling and upskilling pathways to support large-scale workforce transformation and capability shifts.
• Build assessment, learning, development, mobility, and career growth mechanisms that are practical, business-linked, personalized, and scalable.
• Lead the evolution of learning from training delivery to enterprise capability acceleration, embedding learning into the flow of work and leveraging AI-enabled learning technologies.
• Drive internal talent mobility and talent marketplace capabilities that improve workforce agility, capability deployment, and employee growth opportunities.
• Establish governance, metrics, and operating mechanisms to measure workforce readiness, capability maturity, leadership pipeline health, internal mobility, and business impact.
• Champion the responsible adoption of AI across talent management, learning, workforce planning, and capability development processes.
• Bring strong conceptual thinking, stakeholder influence, enterprise leadership, and execution discipline to drive sustainable workforce transformation across the organization.
Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
Specifically, this person should be able to:
- Develop a clear vision for L&D / Talent Management & Development in an AI-first bank
- Partner with business leaders to understand how roles, skills, and job families will be redefined
- Design structured reskilling and upskilling pathways to support large-scale workforce transition
- Build assessment, learning, and development mechanisms that are practical, business-linked, and scalable
- Move L&D beyond training delivery into strategic capability building and workforce transformation
- Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking, stakeholder influence, and disciplined execution
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, L&D or related fields
- 15+ years of experience in Talent Management, L&D, or Performance Management
- 10+ years in leadership roles
- Strong experience in enterprise L&D strategy, talent development, and workforce transformation
- Preferred background in banking, financial services, technology, or fintech
- Deep expertise in instructional design, capability frameworks, and talent strategy
- Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability
