Job Purpose
- The job holder develops strategies and business plans for financial market products and organizing the implementation of financial market product business activities, including: market analysis and assessment, identifying business opportunities, developing strategies and business plans, organizing the execution of financial market product transactions in the interbank market, managing product portfolios and risks, and managing partner relationships
Key Accountabilities (1)
MARKET ANALYSIS AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY IDENTIFICATION
- Monitor financial market movements to forecast trends, identify market development opportunities, product development opportunities, proprietary trading opportunities, and opportunities for the bank.
- Develop strategies and business plans for proprietary trading of financial market products.
- Advise senior management on building strategies and development plans for financial market products for clients and for the bank.
- Develop implementation plans and manage financial and non-financial plans for the proprietary trading segment of the financial market.
- Develop professional market development solutions and financial market product development initiatives.
Key Accountabilities (2)
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
- Organize and implement business plans in line with the defined strategy and objectives.
- Coordinate with Risk Management to establish product limits and take responsibility for managing product positions and cash flows according to set limits and performance targets.
- Develop principles for evaluating and monitoring portfolio performance.
- Develop trading tools, product pricing principles, and internal governance rules for products.
- Identify early warning signs of risk and take timely action.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to manage portfolios and oversee bank-wide liquidity management.
Key Accountabilities (3)
MARKET DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Develop relationships with partners and build a network of trading partners related to market operations.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with regulatory authorities and market associations.
- Build the bank’s image and establish its position in the market.
Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
'- Education: Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in Economics, Finance, or Banking.
- Experience: Over 15 years of working experience in the financial and banking industry.
- Management Experience: More than 5 years in a managerial role within financial services or equivalent.
- English: As required by Techcombank from time to time.
- Professional Skills:
+ In-depth knowledge of financial market products, strong understanding of macroeconomics and banking finance.
+ Expertise in managing market risk and liquidity risk for financial market products.
+ Proficient in Excel, Refinitiv, and Bloomberg (BBG).
+ Basic programming skills (Python) or ability to build quantitative forecasting models and apply AI in banking and finance is an advantage.
