Expert, Retail & Small Business Banking Risk Policy and Strategy
Job Purpose
Retail & small BB banking credit risk management policies and strategies focus on customer centrix, ensuring the sustainable development of retail banking credit portfolio in accordance with advanced standards and practices.
Key Accountabilities (1)
Building and managing a credit risk management platform according to the characteristics of the customer segment and small business customers in line with the bank's strategy, business orientation, and risk appetite statement:
1. Identifying target markets, risk approaches to target segments, and growth opportunities to achieve sustainable growth in assets and revenue
2. Build a credit risk management policy for customers and small business customers to guide credit granting and post-credit management activities, including sets of criteria, principles/methods for customer assessment, and early warning/credit monitoring criteria
3. Building a credit orientation according to the annual business plan based on market developments, emerging risks, and Building a set of indexes for portfolio management orientation, a set of indexes for portfolio structure management
4. Build a roadmap for developing credit risk measurement models, financial capacity projections, early warning identification, ... and finding opportunities to access and exploit use, enriching data to build models/sets of criteria to correctly identify customers, and measure risks.
5. Design appraisal, approval, early warning, credit monitoring processes, and appraisal/verification instructions at front/back lines associated with the customer journey.
6. Plan/build a technology platform to serve credit risk management for the customer segment and small business customers in line with the bank's digitalization goals and meet business needs according to annual strategic priorities.
Key Accountabilities (2)
Design risk management solutions for lending programs/products/OFRs for SMEs and small businesses based on market understanding, data analysis, and digitalization of the credit granting journey.
1. Analyze data (internal, external) according to target customer groups and build scenarios according to simulated categories to assess opportunities and risks.
2. Design credit-granting criteria and rule-based principles/methods for assessing customer financial capacity in combination with applying appropriate rating models and financial capacity projection models.
3. Design/apply appropriate credit limit calculation methods for each target customer group.
4. Design/apply appraisal, approval, and appraisal instructions at front/back lines associated with specific customer journeys.
5. Design/apply a set of criteria, early warning procedures, credit monitoring
6. Evaluate and develop system requirements to ensure that the direction of growth is followed by automation and digital journey.
7. Assess risk, measure risk costs and determine acceptable risk thresholds and indicators for each specific business program/solution
Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
'- Degree/Occupation: University graduate or above majoring in economics/finance/banking/statistics
- Minimum 5 years experience in risk management; 02 years of management experience in banking
- Minimum TOEIC 650 or equivalent
Overview knowlege about risk management:
- Have in- depth knowledge about risk and risk management
- Understand laws and regulations
- Understand Vietnamese and international standards about risk management
- Understand type of risks (including credit risk, operational risk, industry risk) related to develop policies and products
- Understand products, operation of banking and financial services for retail customer
- Other professional knowledge:
+ Have basic knowledge of data analysis and make decisions based on data results
+ Having basic knowledge about the method of building risk management models and applying the model to develop policies
+ Have background knowledge on appraisal/approval for retail customer
