Director/ Advisor/ Manager, Corporate Strategy Planning

Job Purpose

He / She is an integral member of the team and is expected to contribute towards (but not limited to) strategy development, and strategy execution. As part of the role, they will work closely with Head of Strategy Development and Management to:
- Develop the 5-year strategy for the bank
- Manage and monitor performance against the strategy
- Work on strategic deep-dives as required
- Develop communication plan, material and enable delivery
- Facilitate annual planning process and KRA formulation

Key Accountabilities (1)

1. Strategy development and execution
Closely work with the Head of Strategy Development and Management and Sr Director to:
- Participate in strategic planning process to develop overall bank-wide strategy, potential business model, CVP’s and financial model with clear drivers. Ensure linkage to bank-wide Vision and mission
- Drive research, analysis, benchmark and possibly forecast:
+ Macro-economic environment
+ Competitor action (performance and actions)
+ Revenue and profit pools
- Work on annual planning process with key stakeholders
- Work on strategic deep-dives on topics pertinent in that year
- Build and maintain financial model (5 year)
- Work on communication documents for internal and external audience

2. Team player and self-development
- Ensure coordination and collaboration, both within the unit and the whole Bank
- Seek and provide feedback to foster a collaborative environment
- Ensure that the unit's activities comply with internal policies, regulations, processes, guidelines... and service quality commitments (SLAs)
- Participate in team and training related activities as required by the bank
- Proactively look for areas to develop and pursue training and coaching opportunities
- Manage overall employee performance and motivate them to achieve their full potential

Key Accountabilities (2)

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Oversee human resources planning and execution (headcount & costs) of their function/ sub- function
- Attract, onboard and retain the right talents for a high- performing team
- Establish and communicate sub- function/ function and individual KRAs/ KPIs, goals, action plan, expectations and results to reporting line
- Manage sub- function/ function performance & provide feedback regularly (following the annual performance management cycle)
- Define team’s capability requirements and enable team member’s professional and personal development through capability assessment, training, coaching & feedback, mentoring, etc.
- Motivate and recognize team members’ contributions towards the team’s shared goals
- Responsible for developing talents within the function/ sub- function
- Act as a role model and promote corporate culture at function/ sub- function level
- Understand & communicate relevant HR offerings to team members.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences

Domain expertise:
- At least 12 years of working experience in Healthcare, transportation, logistics, constructions, tech. AI...preferably in the communication department
- Strategy consulting experience, going through stages of strategy implementation and transformation programs of large organizations
- Graduated with a master's degree or higher, majoring in economics, finance, business. Preference will be given to candidates with master's/MBA degrees from foreign universitie

  •  Analytical rigor: strong quantitative reasoning; comfort with spreadsheets and large/dirty datasets
  •  Structured thinking & writing: MECE, first-principles approach; can “own the page” in PowerPoint
